Established in 1950 as the first national performing arts troupe, the China National Acrobatic Troupe has been the leader of acrobats around the world. Their past notable performances have included the Olympic Games of Beijing of 2008 and the Kennedy Center’s China Festival. The troupe has also won 32 gold medals in both local and international competitions throughout Europe, Asia and the United States, including the “Golden Clown Award” at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo – regarded as the highest honor of acrobats and circus in the world.
Over the last 10 years, the China National Acrobatic troupe has displayed an innovative evolution in artistic production. By integrating acrobatics, music, dance, drama and martial arts with traditional programs, the troupe has become a distinct influential leader of the acrobatic art form. The troupe has also established the Beijing International Art School, a comprehensive art academy teaching acrobatics, dance, fine arts, film, performing arts and Chinese Kung fu while training performers from China, Russia, France, Spain, Korea, Vietnam and many other countries.

Jade Double Stars- Contortionists with Glasses: This Act won “The Crystal Award” at the 12th French Macy International Circus Festival
The Gorgeous Girls – Diabolo: This act won the “French Republic President Award” at the 26th Tomorrow Circus Festival of France in 2005. It represents the state’s highest level cultural program to join cultural exchange events with different countries.
Dancing Gently – Pot Tricks: This act won the Gold Award at “1st Tomorrow Circus Festival of France”
Buckjumps and Rhythm – Hand Balancing with Bowls: This act won the highest award: “Golden Clown Award” at the “28th International Circus Festival of Monte- Carlo”. The award is regarded as the Oscar award in the Circus. The act represents China’s highest culture event to join the cultural exchange program with different countries.
